ABOUT

I am a Vancouver-based graphic designer and brand consultant with over 13 years of experience creating thoughtful, enduring brand identities and visual systems. My work focuses on translating values, culture, and purpose into clear, well-considered design that supports long-term growth and public trust.

I collaborate closely with Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations across cultural, non-profit, institutional, and commercial sectors, offering branding, identity development, and ongoing brand stewardship.

Whether developing a foundational identity or supporting an established organization, my approach is grounded in clarity, care, and respect for context.

Services

Thoughtful brand systems built for longevity

I work with organizations that need clarity, consistency, and care in how they communicate, particularly where public trust, cultural responsibility, and long-term use matter.

My services are structured to move beyond one-off deliverables and toward durable brand systems that support growth, governance, and evolving platforms.

Brand Identity & Visual Systems

I design brand identities that are grounded in meaning and built to last.

This work typically includes:

  • Logo design and refinement

  • Typography and colour systems

  • Visual hierarchy and layout principles

  • Primary and secondary brand elements

Rather than focusing on individual assets, I develop cohesive visual systems that can be applied consistently across print, digital, and environmental contexts.

This service is well suited to organizations establishing a new identity or evolving an existing one with intention and clarity.

Brand Guidelines & Governance

A strong brand only works if it’s understood and used correctly.

I create clear, practical brand guidelines that support internal teams, partners, and external collaborators. These guidelines go beyond “do’s and don’ts” to explain the why behind the system.

Guidelines may include:

  • Logo usage and spacing

  • Colour and typography standards

  • Application examples

  • Guidance for responsible use across platforms and tools

Where appropriate, this also includes governance considerations to help organizations maintain consistency as content creation becomes more distributed.

Cultural & Visual Advisory

For projects involving Indigenous communities, public institutions, or culturally sensitive subject matter, I provide thoughtful visual and brand advisory support.

This work focuses on:

  • Respectful representation

  • Cultural alignment

  • Visual decision-making in complex or public-facing contexts

I work closely with clients and collaborators to ensure that design choices are intentional, grounded, and aligned with values, protocols, and long-term community considerations.

This service is often integrated alongside branding, communications, or campaign work.

Design for Print, Digital & Environments

I support the application of brand systems across a wide range of formats, ensuring clarity and cohesion at every touchpoint.

This may include:

  • Reports and publications

  • Campaign and event materials

  • Signage, banners, and environmental graphics

  • Digital layouts and web support

Each application is approached as part of a larger system, not as a standalone design, helping organizations present themselves consistently and professionally across contexts.

Ongoing Brand Support

Some clients benefit from ongoing design and brand stewardship rather than project-by-project engagement.

This may include:

  • Periodic brand reviews

  • Ongoing design support

  • Event or campaign oversight

  • Guidance as organizations grow or evolve

These engagements provide continuity and ensure the brand remains aligned, coherent, and effective over time.

How I Work

Every project begins with a clear understanding of goals, context, and scope. From there, I recommend an approach that fits the organization’s needs, whether that’s a focused engagement or a more comprehensive system.

If you’re unsure what level of support makes sense, I’m happy to discuss options and help identify the right starting point.

If you’re looking for experienced, thoughtful design support that prioritizes clarity, responsibility, and long-term value, I’d be glad to connect.
