Context
BC Indigenous Housing Society is a non-profit organization providing safe, attainable housing for Indigenous individuals and families across British Columbia. The organization required an identity that conveyed stability, clarity, and trust, while reflecting Indigenous values and community focus.

Branding, Identity & Ongoing Brand Stewardship
Outcome
The BCIHS brand is now applied across annual reports, corporate brochures, event and gala materials, website support, and select photography. Through continued stewardship, the identity remains cohesive and adaptable, supporting the organization’s mission and long-term growth.
Approach
I led the logo design with input from renowned Vancouver designer Jim Skipp. The symbol forms the letter “h” for housing and draws inspiration from the structure of a traditional Coast Salish longhouse, reinforcing ideas of shelter, community, and belonging. Typography was selected for its subtle carved quality, adding warmth and craft without sacrificing legibility or professionalism.
Beyond the logo, my role has evolved into ongoing brand stewardship. I work closely with BCIHS as a consultant, ensuring consistency and clarity across all brand applications while supporting internal teams and external communications.
